The challenge with this logo was to create a visual representation that would appeal to all women (and men) with curly locks. Individuals with curly locks range from having hair that is tightly curled/coily to loose waves. The logo also needed to demonstrate that the group was not an organization based in the United States.
Women with curly locks that reside outside of the United States often have a difficult time accessing styling tools and products geared towards their hair types. This is because most of the businesses geared towards curly hair types are based in the United States and do not offer international shipping or the shipping rates are very costly.
While the United States seems to have a slew of support groups, clubs and activities geared towards curly women, their international counterparts are almost non-existent. This organization’s aim was to change that.
